Private Patient Consultation

How can Wound Care Solutions help you?

Many patients have complex wounds that require expert analysis. Often people are told that their wounds are incurable, this frequently is not the case. By using the latest tried and tested technologies Linda and her team are able to determine the exact cause of the wound, allowing an effective pathway to be devised with the patient that will improve and reduce the symptoms, such as pain, soreness and odour.

How do I know if Wound Care Solutions can help me?

The first step is to contact us to make an appointment for a comprehensive consultation which can be carried out at your own home. Once the assessment is complete we will discuss with you the various treatment options along with a care pathway.

What happens at the assessment?

When Linda and her expert team arrive at your home for the pre-arrange appointment, they will go through with you your full medical history, they will need to know as much detail about your wound as possible especially as to when the wound started. This will assist them in making an accurate clinical assessment on your future care pathway with Wound Care Solutions. The assessment will take approximately one hour, during this time you will be provided with information about your particular wound. You will be able to ask as many questions as you like about the proposed treatment. The team will also provide you with written patient information to help assist you with wound healing.

Do I need to do anything in preparation for the assessment?

If your wound is painful you may wish to take pain killers half an hour before the appointment is due to begin. Please have your current dressing and any medication relevant to your wound at hand. You will need to wear a sleeveless or loose fitting top and if you have leg ulcers you may need to wear loose fitting shoes and trousers that will be able to accommodate a bandage.

How often will I need to be visited by Wound Care Solutions?

Initially at least twice a week, this is very dependent however on the severity of your wound.
